What is Hypnosis

What is Hypnosis?

Imagine your mind as an iceberg. The tip of the iceberg that you see above the water represents your conscious mind – the part of your mind that you’re aware of and use for thinking, making decisions, and solving problems.

But beneath the surface lies a much bigger part of the iceberg – this represents your subconscious mind. Your subconscious mind is like a storage vault where all your memories, emotions, habits, and beliefs are stored, even if you’re not actively thinking about them.

Another way to describe hypnosis is that it’s a state of deep relaxation where your subconscious mind becomes more open and receptive to suggestions. It’s allowing your conscious mind to take a break and be more of an observer and allowing me to communicate directly with your subconscious.

It’s important to know that hypnosis isn’t mind control – you’re always aware of what’s happening, and you can’t be forced to do anything you don’t want to do. Instead, it’s a tool that can help you tap into your inner strength and make positive changes in your life, like quitting smoking or reducing stress.

During hypnosis, I will guide you into this relaxed state. Once you’re in this state, I will suggest new ways of thinking or behaving to help you achieve your goals.

So, in a nutshell, hypnosis is a tool that taps into the power of your subconscious mind to help you make positive changes in your life. It’s allowing your subconscious mind to take in suggestions that will help you achieve your desired outcomes.

During hypnosis, I will help you focus your attention inward and use suggestions to help you reach this deeply relaxed state. Once you’re there, I will help you to create positive changes and reach your goals whether it’s quitting smoking, losing weight or controlling anxiety.
