Fear of flying can turn a trip you should be looking forward to into days or even weeks of worry about getting on the plane.
I help you change the patterns behind that anxious response so you can feel calmer, more confident, and more in control before and during your flight.

Fear of flying can affect far more than the time you spend on an airplane. It can determine where you go, who you see, and which experiences or opportunities you allow yourself to have.
You may find yourself worrying about a flight days or weeks ahead of time — imagining what might happen, checking the weather, or wondering how you’ll handle the anxiety once you’re on the plane.
And the fear itself can involve much more than crashing or turbulence. For some people, it’s security, delays, lost luggage, feeling trapped, using the bathroom, getting stranded, or worrying about what happens once they arrive. Sometimes it’s a whole collection of fears that make the entire experience feel overwhelming.
When the people, places, or experiences that matter to you are hundreds or thousands of miles away, avoiding flying may mean missing out on things you deeply want to be part of.
Crashing, turbulence, something going wrong with the plane, or fear that you won’t arrive safely.
Claustrophobia, not being able to leave, using the bathroom, or feeling stuck once the doors close.
Security, delays, missed connections, lost luggage, or getting stranded along the way.
Transportation, unfamiliar places, changing planes, or worrying about what might go wrong before or after.
You can understand that millions of people fly safely every day and still feel afraid when it’s your turn to get on the plane.
That’s because fear of flying isn’t always driven by what you consciously believe. Your mind can learn to associate flying, or any part of the travel experience, with danger, uncertainty, or being unable to escape.
Once those associations become automatic, statistics and reassurance may do very little to change how you actually feel. You can know the plane is safe while your mind is imagining everything that could go wrong.
And because flying usually isn’t something you do every day, there may be long stretches of time between flights. Each upcoming trip can feel like facing the fear all over again, with the worry beginning days or even weeks before you leave.
The goal isn’t to convince yourself that you shouldn’t be afraid. It’s to change the patterns that are creating the fear in the first place.
We start by understanding exactly what fear of flying means for you: what parts of the experience trigger anxiety, what you imagine might happen, what you feel in your body, and what thoughts or situations seem to intensify the fear.
For one person, it may be turbulence or fear of crashing. For someone else, it may be feeling trapped, losing control, navigating the airport, or a combination of concerns that begins long before the flight.
From there, we work with those specific patterns at a deeper level. Hypnosis is one of the tools I use to help you become deeply focused and receptive to change, making it easier to create different responses to the situations, thoughts, and feelings that used to trigger fear.
You’ll remain aware and in control throughout the process. There’s no losing control, revealing secrets, or doing anything against your will. This isn’t stage hypnosis. It’s focused, collaborative work customized around your experience of flying.
The goal is for flying to become a way to get where you want to go, rather than something that keeps you from going.
I’m a Board Certified Hypnotherapist with a master’s degree and more than 20 years of experience helping people create meaningful change.
Fear of flying can look very different from one person to the next. What triggers the fear, when it begins, and what someone imagines might happen are highly individual, which is why I don’t use a one-size-fits-all process.
Every session is customized around you, your particular fears, and the patterns we uncover together.
We’ll work at a pace that feels comfortable, with the goal of helping you feel calmer and more confident about flying, and giving you the freedom to travel without fear determining where you can and can’t go.
I work exclusively online via Zoom, so you can do this work privately and comfortably from your own home.
Fear doesn’t have to keep deciding where you can go or what you have to miss. Change is possible, and it can start here.
